AYDC Professional Learning & Development Series: Navigating Digital Worlds: Understanding Risks, Building Trust, and Supporting Youth Online Safety

December 3 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm

Young people today are growing up in a world where the internet and access to it are deeply woven into nearly every part of daily life. This session explores how youth use digital spaces and the challenges adults face in keeping them safe while respecting their autonomy and voice. Participants will examine key online risks youth are facing—such as grooming, sextortion, cyberbullying, and radicalization—and learn to identify warning signs of harm. Through discussion and reflection, we’ll consider how to balance safety with trust and share practical trauma-informed tools, strategies, and resources to help youth navigate digital environments with confidence and safety.
